China-Canada Entrepreneurs Business Meeting Held at Peace Garden

On May 23th, Mr. Hancock, former governor of Alberta Province in Canada, Mr. Horner, former vice governor and director of the financial department of Alberta province as well as president of Canada Asia Synergy Group, together with the delegation of Canadian entrepreneurs at Peace Garden participated in “Dialogue between Chinese and Canadian Entrepreneurs at Peace Garden” jointly held by China World Peace Foundation, Beijing International Peace and Culture Foundation and Canada Asia Synergy Group.

The delegation visited the Peace Stone and Peace Garden Museum, and spoke highly of the promotion and contribution made by the Foundation led by Dr. Li Ruohong for the cause of peace. When seeing the piano with the signatures of celebrities from political and cultural fields of different countries displayed in the museum, all delegates just couldn’t stop praising.

Dr. Li indicated in his welcoming speech that there exists huge potential in the economic and cultural development of China and Canada enterprises of two countries, they can take measures of bilateral and multilateral cooperation or oversees investment to exploit the market and acquire opportunities, thus promoting the economic and trade exchanges between two countries, the common development of our economies and the economic and cultural partnership between the South and North Globe. Mr. Horner agreed with Dr. Li’s idea very much. He praised for this Dialogue as the high light in the agenda of Canadian delegation’s visit to china and had strong confidence in the prospect of positive outcomes if enterprises from Canada can obtain more resources, increase their international influence and business cooperation between the two countries through the platform of CWPF. 

The Canadian enterprises were from various sectors including drinking water treatment, training skills, industrial design, containers, lawyer counseling etc. As leading enterprises in their respective area, most of them possessed key technologies and hope to find Chinese partners and exploit Chinese market through this dialogue. Chinese delegates also come from the leading enterprises of their Canadian peers. The atmosphere of the meeting was hot and friendly, both Canadian and Chinese enterprises wanted to know more about the status quo, the perspective and the potential of each other, up to 70% enterprises at the spot have become potential partners.
