Tunisian Ambassador to China’s last stop at Peace Garden before leaving office in Beijin

August 11th witnessed the reunion between Tunisian ambassador, H.E. Mr. Tarek Amri, with his wife, and Dr. Li Ruohong with his wife at Peace Garden Museum, the home of ambassadors. While drinking tea, they talked about peace and reviewed their friendship. 

H.E. Tarek Amri said that among all the people and institutions he met with during his term, China World Peace Foundation and Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation are his best friends. They together contribute to the cooperation in regional peace, economy and culture. He said he felt at home every time he visits the Peace Garden.

H.E. Tarek Amri is keen on Chinese culture, and proudly showed Dr. Li Ruohong and his wife the certificate of Traditional Chinese Medicine he acquired. He also discovered the similarities between two countries’ cuisines. Dr. Li Ruohong, on behalf of Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, awarded H.E. Tarek Amri the certificate of Ambassador for Peace for his contribution to Sino-Tunisia’s friendship and cross-cultural cooperation, and maintaining world peace. H.E. Tarek Amri presented Peace Garden Museum with an oil painting with strong Tunisian characteristics.
