tens of thousands of miles between China and Africa, the friendly exchanges
between them can date back to thousands of years before. Along with the
founding of the People’s Republic and successive independence of African
countries, people in China and Africa have become friends sharing weal and woe
through mutual support. China-Africa friendship has been fully developed and
enhanced after going through half a century’s test. Nowadays, Chinese people
are making efforts to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,
while African people are working hard to realize united self-improvement and
revitalization. It is quite necessary to enhance the friendly exchanges and
cooperation between China and African countries.
Mr. Li Ruohong pointed out in his speech that this China-Africaphotography and painting exhibition was aimed to advance the cultural exchange andeconomic cooperation between China and African countries. He also said that theachievement of peace shall be shared by the whole world, and more peace-lovingpeople are welcome to join China-Africa friendship messenger team.
