Respectable Dignitaries, Esteemed Ambassadors of the Foreign Diplomatic Missions, representatives of the international organizations, experts, scholars and the youth delegates:

I am incredibly honored and humbled to be here with you all.

Thank you to the Chinese Government, China World Peace Foundation and Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation to have invited me to share my views on the joint venture on this very special occasion of International Day of Peace.

In the words of Roosevelt,

“It is not enough to talk about peace, one must believe in it,

And it is not enough to believe in it.

One must work on it,”

When I look at the youth sitting there I find them a silver lining in the cloud, a hope, a belief that the world tomorrow will be peaceful.

This youth will not only be believing in peace notion but also practicing it in its real sense.

And why I am so sure about it?

The reason is that I daily see a school where 55% of the students coming from different nationalities around the world work together in peace and perfect harmony. In PAKISTAN EMBASSY COLLEGE BEIJING students promote an environment of peace by respecting one another, respecting others feelings, beliefs, culture and religions. ////

I would like to quote the inspiring concluding lines from the message of the Director General UNESCO

“To sustain peace, we must build it every day, in every society, with every woman and man, by working together towards a better common future for all”

Let’s call for peace and face the future, face the future with smile. It’s a common saying

“That a smile can light up a room, so imagine what a world with smiles can do.”

In the end I would like to extend special thanks to Mr. Li Ruohong –President China World Peace Foundation and Mr. Douglas Prescott-Principal CIBS for bringing us together and providing the platform to create awareness for peace.

“Peace e for all”
