On April 3, 2014former Maldivian President H.E. Mr. Mohammed Waheed Hassan and his wife, accompaniedby Maldivian Ambassador to China and the Director ofGeneral of President’s Office have visited China World Peace Foundation and Peace GardenMuseum where spring is in the air, ripple on the lake and flowers are in fullbloom. People can feel the poetic illusion everywhere in the Garden. MaldivianPresident and his party visited the on show artworks exhibition when theyarrived.

 

President Waheed is an old friend of Chairman Li Ruohong, wholed a delegation consisting major entrepreneurs fromhome and abroad visited Maldives in 2009 and has established the  profound friendship with President Waheed. Thetwo old friends met again in a particularly warm ambiance. They reviewed theirfriendship; talked about present situation and lookedforward to the future. They also discussed about the cooperation between thetwo countries on multilateral climate change, economy, finance, culture, education, environmental protection and theexpansion of private investment. 

 

Meanwhile, Mrs. Waheed introducedher program in helping children with autism and expressed her great interestsin exchanges with Chinese friends.

 

Former President Waheed also made a peace inscriptionfor China World Peace Foundation, it says: “World peace will be built ondeveloping growing understanding among the people of different countries.Therefore people to people cooperation is very important for peace. We can allplay an individual part to promote peace every day. I have great respect forthem who make peace building their duty.”
