On January 11th , 2024, Algerian Ambassador to China, , H.E. Mr. KAID SLIMANE Lahcene held active and effective talks In the Peace Garden Museum with Professor Li Ruohong, Chairman of the China World Peace Foundation and President of the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation , on deepening the "Belt&Road" cooperation and strengthening the exchanges between China and Algeria. They had friendly and in-depth discussions on a series of public welfare cooperation projects among China, the Arab League, the African Union, and Mediterranean countries, covering the themes of peace and security, global governance, economics and culture, intangible cultural heritage protection, museums, infrastructure, agriculture, and youth growth. Professor Li hopes to continue to cooperate with Algeria in various fields such as culture, art, and sports education.

Ambassador Lahcene introduced that recently, the Algerian President visited China and reached a consensus on cooperation with Chairman Xi jinping. After visiting the museum and watching the documentary, Ambassador Lahcene expressed his willingness to cooperate with the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation. At present, many Chinese companies are investing and constructing in Morocco and Algeria. Since the Chinese medical team entered Algeria in 1963, various industries in Algeria have welcomed cooperation from Chinese companies. We hope to expand our cooperation in more fields, including youth exchanges and the construction of volunteers for international students studying in China. Our Cooperation will promote mutual understanding between the two peoples. Ambassador Lahcene also stated that he will present art collections representing Algerian culture and friendship to the Peace Garden Museum for exhibition, in order to jointly promote the sustainable development of friendly cooperation between the Chinese and Arab peoples.
