On the afternoon of March 11th , Dr. Li Ruohong, Chairman of the China World Peace Foundation and President of the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, attended the launch ceremony of the 2024 Caribbean Cultural Day held at the Peace Garden Museum in Beijing. Nearly 100 people attended the event, including all members of the Caucus Team of Caribbean Embassies in China, consisting of embassies of Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Guyana, Grenada, Jamaica, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, representatives of Haiti in China, domestic and foreign media and business representatives.

President Li Ruohong said in his speech at the event: "To strengthen cooperation between China and Caribbean countries requires mutual learning between civilizations, which can be achieved by appreciating tea and coffee, enjoying folk music and classical music. It is hoped that in the responsibility of multilateral protection and dissemination of world heritage and intangible cultural heritage, China and Caribbean countries will fully display the energy and value of peace and public welfare in the supply chain of activities, projects, and product exchanges and cooperation."

In her speech, Ambassador H.E. Ms. Analisa Low, Chair of the Caucus Team of Caribbean Embassies in China, thanked the World Peace Foundation of China and Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation for their long-term support, and looked forward to working with all the representatives present to make the Caribbean Culture Day an example of the integration of world civilizations.

At the end of the event, President Li Ruohong said farewell to all the guests, wished to meet again in May, and presented the "Flying Pigeon" bicycle, a symbol of peace, to Ambassador H.E. Ms. Analisa Low, the Chair of the Caucus Team, in front of the "Belt and Road" Ambassador Village.
