On the important milestone of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the world anti fascist War, on April 6th , 2025, Dr. Li Ruohong, Chairman of the China World Peace Foundation and President of the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, met with the Chairman of the Sino American Aviation Heritage (Flying Tigers) Foundation, Mr. Jeffrey Greene, and his delegation at the Peace Garden Museum in Beijing.

The Sino American Aviation Heritage (Flying Tigers) Foundation has long been committed to spreading the story of the Flying Tigers Pilots in China and the United States, commemorating the friendly cooperation between the two peoples during World War II, and promoting understanding and friendship. Since its establishment in 1998, with the help of the foundation, more than 500 Flying Tigers veterans or their families have visited China. In September 2022, the Sino American Aviation Heritage (Flying Tigers) Foundation launched the "Flying Tigers Friendship School and Youth Leader Program", hoping to inherit and promote the spirit of the Flying Tigers through student exchanges, online conferences, knowledge competitions, summer camps, and other forms of communication between the two countries, and enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the youth of the two countries. As of now, there are 100 "Flying Tigers Friendship Schools" in China and the United States, and China strongly supports this plan and participates in related initiatives. Since the beginning of this year, more than 70 American teachers and students have come to China for exchange through this program.

After the delegation of the Sino American Aviation Heritage (Flying Tigers) Foundation visited the Peace Garden Museum, the two foundations had in-depth discussions on promoting the spirit of the Flying Tigers, facilitating people to people exchanges between China and the United States, and especially promoting friendly exchanges between young people from both countries. They also shared many rare-known and vivid stories about the Flying Tigers. Both sides agreed that the spirit of the Flying Tigers represents the courageous responsibility of safeguarding justice and peace, and is engraved with the precious friendship of helping each other in times of adversity, which should be passed on from generation to generation among the people of the two countries, especially the youth of the two countries. The two foundations have determined various forms of project cooperation models, which are of extraordinary significance in enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese and American people and promoting the healthy and stable development of Sino-US relations.
