On May 15th, a profound cultural exchange event between China and French speaking countries was held in Beijing. Dr. Li Ruohong, Chairman of the China World Peace Foundation and President of the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation, joined hands with H.E. Mr. Bruno Angelet , Head of the Mission of French speaking Countries to China and Belgian Ambassador to China, to hold a grand unveiling ceremony for the establishment of the Peace Garden Diplomatic Club.

After the ceremony, Dr. Li Ruohong and Mr. Olivier, the President of PFC, solemnly presented the rotating cup of the Peace Garden French Culture Night activity to His Excellency Mr. Bruno Angelet , the Belgian Ambassador to China. On that day, ambassadors from French speaking countries to China, foundation directors, advisory experts, and more than 80 guests from various domestic and foreign sectors gathered together to participate in the SOIREE EN L’HONNEUR du ROYAUME de BELGIQUE hosted by His Excellency Mr. Bruno Angelet . During the event, President Li reviewed the scenes of the Silk Road Ping Pong Diplomatic Friendship Tournament held during the 2008 Beijing Olympics, in collaboration with 53 French speaking countries' political leaders and ambassadors to China, and former leader of the French speaking Union, President Senegal, and former French Prime Minister, Mr. Raffarin, who waved their rackets for table tennis. He had a deep impression on the friendly tolerance, historical culture, and beautiful natural landscapes of French speaking countries, especially the Belgian people. The Belgian Ambassador, His Excellency Mr. Bruno Angelet , introduced Belgium's multiculturalism and its integration with Chinese culture from various aspects such as history, geography, economy, and society. Chairman Li and Ambassador H.E.Mr. Bruno Angelet also presented honorary certificates to several foundation advisors.
