Peace Garden Museum and Princeton University held Fellowship Sodality

On Aug.12th, 2014, Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs of Princeton University and the Peace Garden Museum jointly held a fellowship sodality, during which the two sides exchanged opinions on public relations, China’s urbanization, and the role of the museum in conducting cultural exchange and carrying forward history.

Professor Keith A. Wailoo, deputy dean of the school, and his party, alumni working in China as well as students from Princeton University had a look at the geo-culture and foreign collections in the Peace Garden Museum. They learnt about the achievements of the foundation in promoting world peace and facilitating friendly exchanges between China and foreign countries, civil organizations and corporations. 

Pro. Keith’s made an address that day, introducing courses of Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, one-on-one training schemes and programs like management of government officials. Mrs. Wailoo, professor of history department, gave an introduction to subject researches on “China’s urbanization: past, present and future” co-conducted with multiple Chinese colleges.     

Mr. Li Ruohong, director general of Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation and professor of University of Alberta, said that we established a global network through “peace plus one” public welfare mode, caring about disturbing areas, less developed countries and disadvantaged groups and advocating communication and credibility collaboration in the international community. This fellowship sodality is a manifestation of “peace plus education”, which will promote cultural exchanges and cooperation in education between China and America.
